What we think can simply

be one thing

can be representative

of so much more

A place of friendship and community

A variety

of warmth

Not just a toque upon a head

to protect us from

the cold

But a reminder

of the good times

And the love

We long to hold

Especially when we’ve moved away

And we’re missing

those connections

Within these threads

there is so much

that’s intricately woven

So may we remember

in our minds

That always

we can roam

and walk through

to the memories

Of what was once

a second home.
