Live theatre
is a part of us
It broadens the world
In which we live
A live exchange of energy
So much to take
So much to give
But when it’s gone
And there’s no space
In which to receive
that rich exchange
without the hugs
without the stories
We can feel lost
And life feels strange
There is a longing to be together
to return
to reconnect
An excitement at the thought
And at the same time anxiousness
But never to forget
Beneath it all
We all are one
A human kind of pyramid
In which we’re loved and where we learn
And that our value does not lessen
When we cease
to share a space
For our purpose
Is the light we hold
For our community
to embrace
