Speaking of Sisters, May 2021
There are times in life
When loved ones
Are lost to us
So young

It feels they’re gone
So soon
And our time together
Had just begun

And although years may come to pass
There are those
anniversaries
Where yesterday is present
As though no gap or space
has ever been

But in speaking of our memories
In mentioning
their names
In that way
We do honour them
Despite the grief
and pain

And as we continue
to move forward
May we hold close
to what is dear
And to find comfort
In discoveries
of who they were
When they were here
